2025

August 4th - 8th
Grace Bible Church

Registration opens January 15th, 2025!

Two concerts on August 8th at noon and 1:00 pm

The Bozeman Summer String Jam exists to provide string students with a week of fun musical instruction.  We provide a non-competitive but challenging environment where campers of all ability levels can learn and perform.

Concertino Orchestra, for beginning players, meets the needs of our emerging string players with limited experience on their instrument. Concertino campers will meet from 9-12 daily.

Sonori Orchestra is designed for intermediate players who generally have a two years playing experience on their instruments and are comfortable note readers. Sonori campers will meet 9-12 a.m. daily.

Sinfonia Orchestra is for higher level intermediate players who generally have three years playing experience on their instruments and are fluent note readers. Sinfonia campers will meet 1-4 p.m. daily.

Filarmonica Orchestra, is for advancing players who are proficient with multiple facets of performance. Students may perform in Filarmonica for multiple summers. Depending on number of registrants, we may divide this group further into two levels. Filarmonica campers will meet 1-4 p.m. daily.

Instruction will cover musicianship skills, techniques particular to each instrument and performance skills. Each day, students will be involved in large orchestra rehearsals and small chamber music rehearsals. Additionally, sectionals will be offered by specialists on each instrument. Camp instructors and camp staff will give students individualized and group instruction, featuring up-beat, fun and fast paced rehearsals.

Please do not attend camp if you are ill. Notify camp directors if your camper is experiencing illness symptoms or if your camper will be absent for any reason.
